When Gary was asked who really he is he answered to the Netflix official that he is actually a farm boy who grew up in Arkansas. But his story is much deeper than being having a background of a farm boy.

In the Netflix series, it has not been revealed how he spent his childhood and which school he went to for his education.

But according to our research, he may have learned to fly an airplane at a young age and then become a full-time Crop Duster pilot. He was famous in Arkansas for his flying skills. He was so skilled in flying an aircraft or Crop Duster that he can even wash his plane wheels by skimming the water. And during his life, he faced 11 plane crashes but his expertise helped him to survive all of them.  But his fame of flying a Crop Duster plane got vanished when he committed fake suicide in 1977 and make people believe that he is really dead.

Born near Farms in Arkansas Gary kept his life in secret after making people believe that he is really dead. After no information related to his father and mother is ever opened in the media.

To get some more income for his family he again returned to Arkansas and started flying planes but this time along with it he started smuggling whiskey and then importing marijuana on his planes.

But later there he was caught by the police and faced 20 years of imprisonment while living in Prison his fake suicide plan was born. After coming out of jail he met George Morales who connected Gary to Pablo Escobar and then they become good friends.

On September 18, 1977, Gary committed fake suicide making people believe that he is actually dead. He moved to Hawaii by changing his name from Gary to Lucas Noel Harmony and then started selling drugs.

But finally, he was captured after many years in November 1984 on behalf of smuggling drugs in the Escobar drug ring. At that time he was sent to 27 years of presentment as strong evidence was submitted against him in court.

After years Gary came out of Jail in 2011. These days he is living with his third wife and kids. He is still alive and spending his old age with family in Akron, Ohio, USD.

Gary before getting caught by the government police was married and a father of two. He met Sally his second wife on July 20, 1969, and married her after it.
